ISLAND STAFFING IS GROWING IN ITS NEW OCEANSIDE OFFICES.

Island Staffing announces an expansion of its recruiting staff, adding two new Technical Recruiters to their Oceanside offices. The office is currently located at 4061 Oceanside Blvd, Suite A, Oceanside, CA 92056.

Brittany Blake comes to Island Staffing from North Carolina State where she was a major in Visual Arts. She also has experience at a local newspaper, writing classified ads and working in layout. Brittany and her husband moved to Oceanside in October of 2004 and are enjoying the beach lifestyle with their two dogs. Brittany says her biggest challenge has been mastering the terminology of the high tech industry. She finds most job candidates more than willing to educate her on the various programming languages and software variations. She describes the biggest reward as a recruiter is the feeling of accomplishment when she matches a candidate to their ideal position, "Their happiness and gratitude is addictive and makes me look forward to my next assignment."

Lisa Currie previously worked as a Technical Consultant for a research company. She has 10 years of experience in the technology industry and has many contacts in San Diego and Orange County. She holds a degree in Communications from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has lived in Oceanside for seven years and has two children. Lisa compares working in Recruiting to solving puzzles, “Finding the ideal fit between a candidate and a company is very fulfilling. The excitement is in making a good match. I don’t want to find someone just another ‘job’. I want our candidates to find the perfect position they want to keep for a very long time.”

Both Lisa and Brittany agree that anyone interested in Recruiting as a career should have good communication skills as recruiters must be comfortable talking to many different personality types. They believe a recruiter should also be well organized, self motivated and persistent in their searching. Sometimes it takes being a good detective to uncover good candidates and to find just the right kind of employee for a specific company. They look forward to helping many people make their next career move.
