Island Staffing, a technology staffing firm in Oceanside, publicizes the addition of two new members to the company’s staff. Katrina Meredith and Evelyn Delgado are excited about their new opportunities in the technical staffing industry.
Katrina Meredith joins Island Staffing from San Marcos, California. She has lived in California since 1990 and received her BA in Psychology from San Diego State University. She also has a multiple subject teaching credential from California State University, San Marcos. Katrina brings with her 7 years of recruiting experience. She enjoys interacting with candidates which feeds into her love of being a recruiter. “I find satisfaction in getting to know people and doing whatever it takes to match their unique talents with the right job.”
Evelyn Delgado also joins the Island Staffing team. Evelyn and her family moved from Puerto Rico to Carlsbad because they love what San Diego offers to their family. She has a Masters Degree in Labor Relations and a Bachelors Degree in Arts from the Interamerican University in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While in Puerto Rico, Evelyn worked for Infotech Aerospace Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Pratt & Whitney as their Human Resources Coordinator. Infotech Aerospace Services, Inc., provides engineering project/design support to Pratt & Whitney, Inc. She recruited engineers of multiple disciplines, clerical, administrative, supply chain, and drafting personnel, among others, as well as conducting the new hire orientation, exit interviews, and coordinating job fairs. “I like recruitment because I can match the right skills of a candidate with the requirements of the customer, providing a better job opportunity for the right candidate as well as accomplishing the customer needs.”
Island Staffing Founder and CEO E.J. Conrad feels that these two additions will surely add to the solid growth that Island Staffing experienced in 2006. “Last year the company saw a 65% growth in revenues over 2005 and by adding experienced professional staff, we see even bigger growth in 2007.”
